Meta is seeking a strategic and results-focused Accounting Manager to join our Corporate Accounting Team. In this high-impact role, you'll be at the forefront of scaling our accounting operations and driving innovation in the global cash accounting processes. You'll play a key part in our month-end financial close, operationalize strategic plans to optimize accounting processes for scale as Meta's business grows, and mentor an off-shore team. Corporate Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage key financial reporting areas within Corporate Accounting, ensuring accuracy and completeness of global cash transactions
  • Manage and support the US GAAP close process for global cash accounting, including preparation, review, and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis
  • Act as a hands-on contributor, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure timely and accurate close
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable processes for month-end and quarter-end close, leveraging automation and best practices to support business growth
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to offshore teams in Poland and Costa Rica, including managing escalations, reviewing cash transaction postings, and fostering an environment of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with audit requirements, supporting statutory compliance teams, Internal Audit, and External Audit throughout the year
  • Partner with Treasury, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to optimize processes impacting cash, drive operational efficiency, and support strategic initiatives
  • Proactively identifies problematic areas and determines the root cause
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree required in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • 7+ years relevant experience in the accounting profession
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP and internal control best practices
  • Skilled in comprehending end-to-end systems that impact accounting processes, with experience in effectively scaling financial operations
  • Experience with financial statements and general ledger entries or review
  • Proven working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft or Google office tools
  • Experience working under your own initiative as a individual contributor, seeking feedback and input where appropriate

  • Big 4 audit experience and CPA
  • Demonstrable experience consistently working collaboratively and respectfully with a larger team distributed across multiple geographic locations
  • Attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the "big picture" and the importance of risk mitigation and an effective control environment
  • Organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement and experience with streamlining processes

$113,000/year to $165,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
