The Leidos FS2 Aero team has an opening for an experienced Test Engineer to provide Agile DevOps support to mission critical systems. As a Test Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to perform software development to implement scripts, evaluate test results and feedback loops in a Continuous Integration Delivery Pipeline.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leverage DevOps practices to ensure repeatability and Configuration Management of test cases/scripts are maintained the continuously improved using task management system (JIRA/Confluence)
  • Perform job duties within cloud development environments
  • Participate in program Agile software development initiatives (standup, planning, sprint planning) to support innovation and enhancement of custom applications through iteration/functionality testing
  • Participate and collaborate with team members to assess tickets to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance Criteria (Customer / Internal)
  • Collaborate with team members (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Software Developers) to develop test approaches with emphasis on automation of recurring/regression test cases through selected toolsets
  • As a Test Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to perform software development to implement scripts, evaluate test results, and feedback loops in a Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery Pipeline
  • Complete all JIRA developer ticket testing
  • Provide feedback to the development team with QA trends and other process improvement feedback recommendations and efficiency gains

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have an active Top Secret to be considered and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance prior to start and willingness and ability to obtain a Polygraph.
  • Candidate must have BS degree preferably in Computer Science or related program and 2+ years of related experience, will consider additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience working/testing within Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex: AWS), OpenShift and DevOps tools
  • Experience working in a SAFe Agile and DevOps development environment and tempo
  • Ability to test both back end and front-end applications processes
  • Experience with scripting languages (ex: Python) to automate tasks
  • Experience in establishing runs in CI Pipeline including JEST and/or Cypress
  • Knowledge of or direct experience with software performance testing practices
  • Direct experience with creation, authoring, execution and documentation of test cases/result sets for software products in an agile cadence
  • Demonstrated ability to work within collaborative environment to execute test cases complimentary to development efforts
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience reviewing outputs and capable of tracking test failures back to code changes that resulted in bugs
  • Capable of review code check-ins to understand the impact of code changes on system functionality and potential applications bugs
  • Experience in either software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience with unit testing, continuous integration tools, and git version control
  • Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail.
  • Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context.
  • At least 1 year of experience with DoD Aeronautical Datasets
  • At least 1 year of experience with AWS cloud formation templates
  • At least 1 year of experience with Team Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • DOD 8570 Compliant Certification (Sec+)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00
