Description

The Digital Modernization Sector has an opening for an Applications Administrator/Engineer to work in Woodlawn, MD.

This position requires onsite work in Woodlawn, MD five days a week.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Assist customer with administering Endevor application to support the version control of applications in the development and validation environments.
  • Create, maintain, and delete subsystems, troubleshoot user issues with the Endevor product.
  • Analyze new versions for upgrade compatibility.
  • Maintain types and libraries.
  • Utilize z/OS utilities and collaborate with application projects and other administrators.
  • All other duties as assigned or directed

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust

Required Skills:

These skills will help you succeed in this position:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7 years of experience developing solutions in JavaScript.
  • 5 years of experience writing code to consume REST APIs from commercial software products/services.
  • 3 years performing operations, engineering or development functions in direct support of a broad range of infrastructure services including all of the following: Operating systems, virtualization, network, storage, cloud, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Desired Skills:

Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills:

  • Solid experience with Java Script
  • Experience in writing code using REST APIs
  • Knowledge and experience with virtualization platforms
  • Experience with any of the Windows Operating System technologies: Windows Server and Windows Active Directory.
  • VMware Certified Professional or some VMware certification.
  • Expertise using vRealize Operations Manager, Life Cycle Manager or Code Stream.
  • Experience supporting VMware's Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
  • Experience developing code that integrates with VMware NSX.
  • Adept at working independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with delivering technology solutions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven enterprise environment.
  • Excellent understanding of change management, testing requirements, deployment technologies and methods, and tools to ensure high availability of systems.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated individual who adapts to a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
