Value Realization Lead / VRO Lead
Who We Are
At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward - always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.
The Role
Kyndryl Consult is the fastest growing business within Kyndryl, serving as a trusted advisory partner to enterprises navigating mission-critical transformations. Within Kyndryl Consult, our Value Realization Office practice partners with global organizations to turn complex technology, digital modernization, and artificial intelligence investments into measurable, sustained business outcomes. As enterprises rapidly advance their digital agendas, our team provides the discipline, transparency, and strategic oversight needed to ensure every technology investment delivers verifiable business value.
As the Value Realization Lead, you will play a pivotal leadership role building and scaling our Value Realization Office capability while shaping and directing high-impact client engagements. You will focus intensely on artificial intelligence value realization, portfolio management, governance, and agentic AI deployments. In this role, you will guide executive leaders across industries to define what value means for their organizations, prioritize high-potential initiatives, establish accountable governance, and detect value leakage early to make decisive scale, stop, or redirect decisions.
You will operate directly across the full engagement lifecycle, working fluidly in both pre-deal advisory and post-deal delivery environments. On a daily basis, you will engage senior client executives-including Chief Information Officers, Chief Digital Officers, and Chief Financial Officers-leading discovery workshops, shaping commercial proposals, and steering multi-disciplinary teams of AI architects, data engineers, and management consultants to implement practical, outcome-driven value governance.
At Kyndryl, we value collaboration and teamwork. As a Business Process Consultant, you will work closely with all stakeholders, including customers, project managers, and technical teams, to ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Your Future at Kyndryl
Key Responsibilities;
Client Advisory and Opportunity Shaping
- You will identify and shape Value Realization Office opportunities across AI, agentic AI, cloud, data, ERP, application modernization, managed services, and enterprise transformation programs.
- You will lead executive discovery sessions, author strategic proposals, structure commercial agreements, and deliver high-impact presentations to client decision-makers.
- You will guide clients through value-definition workshops to establish strategic outcomes, value trees, robust business cases, OKRs, KPIs, baselines, targets, and realization timelines.
AI Portfolio Governance and Operating Models
- You will design comprehensive AI portfolio management frameworks covering use case intake, qualification, prioritization, funding, stage gates, dependency management, risk, cost, and pilot-to-scale decisions.
- You will establish clear Value Realization Office operating models that define decision rights, governance cadences, value-owner accountability, finance and PMO integration, escalation thresholds, and transition into business-as-usual ownership.
- You will define and monitor outcome and performance metrics for AI use cases, tracking productivity, cost, revenue, cycle time, quality, experience, risk, resilience, token economics, and sustained operational impact.
Value Intelligence and Targeted Interventions
- You will connect financial, delivery, operational, adoption, workforce, risk, and technology data to uncover value leakage and deliver decision-ready portfolio insights rather than routine status reporting.
- You will lead decisive interventions when value is at risk, recommending reprioritizations, rescoping, adoption actions, funding adjustments, remediation, or the discontinuation of low-value initiatives.
- You will guide organizations through stage gates and retirement criteria to ensure capital and operational budgets stay focused on high-impact solutions.
Capability Building and Collaborative Delivery
- You will build scalable Value Realization Office capabilities through repeatable methods, maturity models, prioritization frameworks, value taxonomies, templates, dashboards, micro-apps, case studies, delivery standards, and practitioner enablement.
- You will partner closely with AI architects, data engineers, product leaders, finance, risk, change, workforce, and delivery teams to translate governance requirements into deployable controls, data flows, dashboards, and decision processes.
- You will mentor consulting practitioners and embed value management habits into client organizations for sustained long-term impact.

Who You Are
You are a strategic advisor and value architect who excels at translating complex technology initiatives into clear, measurable business returns. You are good at what you do and possess the deep portfolio, transformation, and governance expertise to prove it. However, equally as important, you bring a growth mindset-staying curious about emerging agentic AI architectures and continuously expanding your advisory craft. You are customer-focused, dedicating your energy to ensuring clients achieve genuine, verifiable business value rather than just deploying software. And finally, you thrive in an open and borderless environment, working seamlessly across global teams, technical disciplines, and client cultures with an inclusive, highly collaborative leadership style.
Required Skills and Experience
- 12+ years of relevant consulting, portfolio, transformation, finance, or value-management experience, including demonstrated responsibility for selling and delivering value realization or portfolio-governance engagements.
- Two or more referenceable examples where you personally established or led a Value Realization Office, benefits-realization capability, transformation office, or outcome-led portfolio-management function, demonstrating value baselines, governance, interventions, realized outcomes, and your direct contribution.
- Demonstrated experience with at least two AI-specific governance or portfolio use cases, such as AI use-case intake and prioritization, pilot-to-scale governance, agent inventory, model or agent lifecycle governance, AI cost and token economics, AI risk and control monitoring, agent performance, or AI value tracking.
- At least one referenceable agentic AI use case where you can explain the business objective, agent or workflow design, human decision points, data and tool dependencies, governance controls, observability approach, cost model, KPIs, and realized or expected value.
- Hands-on experience developing business cases, value trees, KPI or OKR frameworks, benefit profiles, portfolio prioritization models, and executive value narratives, distinguishing activity, output, outcome, and realized value.
- Experience connecting portfolio or transformation data from systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, Planview, Clarity, SAP, Workday, Salesforce, or equivalent platforms into measurement and governance processes.
- Working knowledge of AI governance concepts including policies and guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, traceability, auditability, model and agent risk, data and privacy controls, responsible AI, security, resilience, and regulatory considerations.
- Demonstrated sales capability, including opportunity shaping, proposal leadership, commercial design, executive presentations, and expansion of client engagements.
- Ability to provide work samples or detailed examples of deliverables such as AI portfolio scorecards, prioritization frameworks, business cases, value dashboards, governance operating models, intervention recommendations, or benefit-validation packs.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and components such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or equivalent orchestration approaches, with the ability to credibly discuss architecture, multi-agent workflows, tool calls, memory, context, and human approval points.
- Familiarity with AI and LLM observability platforms such as LangSmith, Langfuse, Arize Phoenix/AX, Datadog LLM Observability, MLflow, Galileo, Fiddler, AgentOps, or equivalent tools, including understanding traces, agent steps, tool calls, latency, errors, token use, cost, response quality, retrieval quality, guardrails, and outcome monitoring.
- Experience with portfolio, business intelligence, financial-management, FinOps, workflow, or governance tooling, and the ability to translate tool telemetry into executive value, risk, and investment decisions.
- Experience designing AI-enabled value-intelligence capabilities such as automated business-case support, KPI mapping, portfolio prioritization, variance detection, scenario simulation, dependency analysis, predictive risk, or next-best-action recommendations.
