Infrastructure Automation Engineer

This role has two key aspects. First, it involves engaging in current projects to analyze technical issues, propose solutions, test, modify, automate, and integrate systems. Second, it requires developing long-term, strategic plans for IT infrastructure and operations. Since this role is not limited to a specific platform, a broad knowledge across all platforms is essential. You'll be involved early in the process to provide solutions, assess what's possible, and help identify technical and timeline risks in advance. This is a project-based role that allows for deep involvement throughout the project lifecycle and close collaboration with architects, engineers, and project managers. Required Technical and Professional Experience

• Deep expertise in a specific technical domain (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data and analytics)
• Experience with enterprise IT applications
• Hands-on experience in at least one of the following: software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or system architecture in the public cloud (AWS domain)
• Strong knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Proven experience driving engineering solutions and working across multiple teams
• Solid experience and judgment in planning and achieving goals
• Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to draw conclusions and determine responses
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong background in process improvement

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• In-depth knowledge of Amazon cloud hosting architecture; experience with AWS and Azure is a plus
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
• Familiarity with a wide range of IT concepts, practices, and procedures
• Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing precise technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
