As a Senior Principal Architect at JPMorganChase within the Infrastructure Platforms, Specialty Platforms and Services, you provide ServiceNow solution architecture expertise to enhance and develop ServiceNow solutions based on modern cloud-based and SaaS technologies, as well as support the adoption of ServiceNow capabilities. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes.

You are a thought leader who will establish and lead ServiceNow solution architecture, strategy and outcomes for Digital Workflows Client Solution's strategic roadmap. You will help lead and educate internal business and technical teams on the power and capabilities of ServiceNow to solve business problems. In addition, you will manage and ensure adherence to the firm's security controls, policies, and procedures.

Infrastructure & Platforms, a division of Global Technology, drives innovation, resiliency and efficiency for the firm through delivery of advanced, integrated, technology solutions and services. The ServiceNow platform is a key part of JPMorgan's strategy to transform the delivery of digital solutions. We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Solution Architect to drive product vision, strategy and design for Service Now capabilities.

Job responsibilities

  • Advises cross-functional teams on ServiceNow capabilities to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies
  • Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities; actively engages with teams and customers through discussion and visuals to convey ServiceNow fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Serves as a ServiceNow go-to subject matter expert; can communicate key points to tech and non-tech of different levels
  • Contributes to the development of technical methods and designs for ServiceNow and integrations in line with the latest product development methodologies, including NOW Assist
  • Creates durable, reusable technical designs that improve velocity and quality of output across teams and functions
  • Partners closely with leadership, clients, platform architecture and Architecture Review Board, Architecture Center of Excellence, and development teams to deliver scalable solutions
  • Understand the business problems and opportunities that our product line and the ServiceNow platform can resolve; provide solutions that favor out-of-box functionality vs. customization
  • Works collaboratively with Product and Platform Leads to ensure roadmaps strike the right balance between business delivery, technology enablement and operations work
  • Champions the firm's culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience of expert-level ServiceNow architecture experience or completion of architecture coursework
  • Certification across multiple modules of ServiceNow including IRM, ITSM, and CSM
  • Expertise in one or more programming language(s)
  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines
  • Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Understanding of the business problems and needs
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile technologies
