Operations - Settlements Analyst

As a Settlement Analyst at J.P. Morgan, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions, contributing to the integrity and success of our settlement operations. This position offers the opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with internal teams and external counterparts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor payment systems, as well as Central Bank systems.
  • Oversee and monitor Indeval for securities settlement.
  • Maintain and enhance internal systems to optimize settlement processes.
  • Handle and monitor activities related to Valpre-E.
  • Investigate and resolve inquiries from internal clients and counterparties, ensuring effective and timely communication.
  • Perform reconciliation processes across all settlement systems.
  • Monitor balances and movements of J.P. Morgan's accounts in various currencies.
  • Review cash movement reconciliations using the bank's internal systems.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements, as well as certifications from Banco de México.
  • Follow up, document, and escalate any operational issues until resolution.

  • Previous experience in financial operations or similar roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Administration, or related fields.
  • Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Availability to work shifts from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm and/or 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with strong attention to detail and results orientation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
