Global Custody Tax Product Manager - Vice President

As a Global Custody Tax Product Manager within the Global Custody Tax team, you will be responsible for managing and developing the Global Custody Tax product. You will collaborate with Business leads, Tax Operations, and Client Service teams to ensure efficient end-to-end delivery. Leveraging your expertise in custody tax, you will translate tax regulations and procedures into business requirements and lead complex cross-functional projects throughout their lifecycle. You will also be involved in the governance and quality assurance of custody tax solutions and operating models, while evaluating opportunities and threats from both external and internal tax-related changes. This role offers the chance to work closely with various teams, directly influencing the product and service offerings of the custody tax business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, assessment and implementation of tax regulatory changes across Americas and EMEA regions. This will include technical analysis and assessment of the business impact of tax regulatory change and management of appropriate internal and external communications.
  • Management of tax information in JPMorgan's Tax Intelligence platform.
  • Drafting of market Newsflashes to highlight and articulate the impact of tax regulatory change.
  • Collaboration with the Tax Operations and Corporate Tax teams to assess the impact of market and tax regulatory developments on the Global Custody Tax product offering. Ensure that resultant solutions meet agreed requirements and manage JP Morgan risk.
  • Lead strategic, complex, cross-functional projects throughout the lifecycle from ideation to project execution and post implementation review, ensuring the quality and timeliness of the project completion.
  • Manage vendor relationships ensuring appropriate onboarding and management throughout the relationship lifecycle.
  • Prepare stakeholder materials to support year end planning and quarterly updates. Track and monitor progress against the team book of work.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 8 years working in a Global Custody Tax Product or Operations role.
  • Strong tax technical expertise to assess regulatory change and articulate impact to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to move change, from the definition of initial requirements through to the delivery of the end solution.
  • Demonstrate an ability to think analytically and strategically with respect to product strategy and development agenda.
  • Proven expertise in developing, prioritising and delivering business solutions.
  • Strong presentation skills and demonstrable client facing experience.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Experience in managing and influencing key business partners and cross-functional stakeholders for the delivery of the services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide tax regulatory and product updates for clients
  • Strong organisational and planning skills and a track record of delivery
  • Capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams in multiple locations globally.
