As a Vice President in Sales Planning & Analysis Reporting, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering critical management reports, strategic presentations, and key performance indicators to senior front office sales leaders and business managers. You will be driving variance analyses, providing actionable insights to support business growth, performance drivers and champion transformation initiatives leveraging advanced analytics and technology.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategically Lead Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Lead the Sales Planning & Analysis Reporting team, setting direction and priorities to deliver best-in-class management reporting and analysis of variances, trends & key drivers for front office sales and senior leadership.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior sales business managers, regional leads, and executive stakeholders, providing strategic insights to drive business performance.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships across P&A, technology, finance, and business lines to ensure alignment and effective delivery of recurring and ad-hoc initiatives.
  • Manage Reporting & Presentations
    • Oversee the periodic reporting of revenue numbers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of sales team, individual, and management scorecards.
    • Direct the production of high-impact presentations for business reviews, offsites, townhalls, and review meetings, synthesizing complex data into clear, actionable narratives for senior management.
    • Review and enhance analysis and supporting materials for key internal stakeholders, ensuring insights are relevant, actionable, and aligned with business strategy.
    • Drive client profitability analysis and reporting, providing senior management with insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Transform & Enable Technology
    • Champion the adoption of new technology solutions (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Qliksense, LLM), driving process automation, data visualization, and analytics transformation across the team.
    • Lead UATs and system migrations, ensuring seamless integration of upstream and downstream processes and minimal disruption to business operations.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of reporting and analysis.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
  • Govern & Control Data
    • Ensure timely maintenance and integrity of sales reference data and controls, safeguarding the accuracy of revenue numbers in all systems.
    • Establish and monitor robust data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Develop & Mentor Team
    • Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
    • Promote diversity of thought and encourage innovative problem-solving within the team.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, sales reporting, or related roles within banking or financial services.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing high-performing teams and complex cross-functional projects.
  • Deep understanding of financial products, sales processes, and revenue drivers in commercial and investment banking.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Alteryx, and financial systems.
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize large data sets into strategic recommendations.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating sound judgment and professional maturity.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Experience driving transformation initiatives and technology adoption.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships, influence stakeholders, and drive consensus across diverse teams.
