Financial Business Specialist - Planning and Reporting Manager

This position is part of the Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) department. CCOR maintains oversight of the firm's compliance, conduct and operational risk management activities. We are responsible for the design and execution of the CCOR program, which consists of the second line of defense's responsibilities in managing the firm's compliance, conduct, and operational risk.

As a member of the Finance and Business Management (BM) organization, you will play a key role in supporting the Leadership team of Compliance, Conduct and Operational (CCOR) risk organization responsible for Latin America and Canada. You will help drive business management activities, support strategic initiatives of the CCOR area, and contribute to the effective running of the department. You will manage projects, coordinate deliverables, and partner with cross-functional teams to optimize group performance.

Job responsibilities

  • Support the Regional CCOR Team in day-to-day business management activities, including strategic planning, headcount tracking, budgeting, location strategy, investment tracking, efficiencies opportunities and resourcing planning. Partner closely with the Central Finance and BM teams to track forecast/actuals versus plan and articulate variance drivers.
  • Drive compelling executive communications including developing content and materials for Executive Committees, Business Reviews and other forums. Organize complex information in a strategic and compelling way.
  • Build strong partnerships with cross functional and other partners (Controls, HR, Finance, etc) supporting day-to-day operations and driving opportunities for greater efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Support the development and execution of initiatives in response to self-identified opportunities and/or senior management request, in partnership with central governance and strategy teams.
  • Respond ad-hoc requests related to project management, presentation development, and business analysis. Support audit, regulatory and compliance deliverables as needed.
  • Coordinate team activities and people agenda related initiatives including materials for offsites, Senior Management visits, teambuilding and employee recognition.
  • Manage a team of 3 directs and being accountable for the CCOR Metrics and Reporting Process in the region.
  • Proactively identify processes that can be enhanced or automated, and drive resolution through a combination of strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Represent the region in CCOR Business Management initiatives and deliverables.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area
  • 5+ years of experience in business management, finance, administration or related field
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.
  • Superior presentation skills that generate meaningful engagement with an executive audience, with a strong attention to details
  • Strong project management, organizational, collaboration and time management skills
  • Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint. LLM languages and Alteryx knowledge are well valued
  • Comfort working with employees at various seniority levels and locations while building strong internal relationships
  • Ability to steer and indirectly coach other team members
  • Understanding of banking trends and experience in financial services industry is a plus
