As a Centralized Research Group (CRG) Associate in Buenos Aires, you will play a leadership role in supporting J.P. Morgan's Commercial & Investment Bank. You will partner with our North America teams by overseeing the preparation of pitch books, financial analyses, marketing materials, and other relevant documents to support bankers in their client engagement, ideation, and execution of activities. You will guide and review the work of analysts, collaborate with Investment Banking Coverage, M&A, and Global Corporate Banking teams in New York, San Francisco, and Chicago, and deliver value-added services and solutions to clients worldwide.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive and review the work of analysts to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance in all deliverables.
  • Facilitate the assignment of work, optimize resource allocation, and act as the primary escalation point for banker inquiries and daily operational activities, ensuring efficient workflow and issue resolution.
  • Demonstrate a consistently positive, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude, contributing to a culture of excellence and resilience within the team.
  • Support colleagues across geographies on client coverage and engagement activities, providing expertise and oversight.
  • Oversee the preparation of company profiles, benchmarking analyses, pricing updates, earning summaries, and competitor analyses by the analyst team.
  • Analyze and validate financial statements, trading and transaction comparables, valuation models, and financial metric benchmarking prepared by analysts.
  • Develop industry views and track developments, opportunities, and new client prospects, guiding analysts in their research.
  • Apply industry and geographic market fundamentals to global clients, including economic and market conditions, competitive landscape, risks, and trends.
  • Track clients, emerging sectors, and product themes to pitch new ideas, supporting analysts in idea generation.
  • Collaborate with IB Coverage, M&A, and Global Corporate Bank teams to deliver high-quality output and drive team performance.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and compliance, providing feedback and coaching to analysts.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution with an excellent academic record and a strong interest in finance.
  • 3-5 years of experience in finance roles, with a preference for financial analysis or related functions.
  • Advanced English skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and guide junior team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality output under pressure, with proven experience in reviewing and validating work.
  • Adept at multitasking and managing multiple projects, with experience overseeing junior staff.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
  • Team player with integrity, able to work across geographies and lead by example.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal guidance.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Awareness of banking solutions and services.
  • Experience in financial analysis and financial modeling using MS Office suite is required.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Positive attitude and strong team leadership skills.

  • Experience supporting investment banking or corporate banking teams.
  • Familiarity with industry and company research tools.
