Position Summary
J. J. Keller India is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer (.NET Full Stack) to support the design, development, and enhancement of our enterprise applications. This role spans the full SDLC, including requirement analysis, solution design, coding, testing, documentation, and production support. You will lead development efforts on complex initiatives, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to architectural and strategic technology decisions. The position also includes mentoring responsibilities and opportunities to influence engineering best practices across the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Independently execute development tasks for new features or maintenance across web and enterprise applications
- Analyze business requirements and assess technical impact across systems and modules.
- Ensure high code quality through unit testing and support for integration and UAT phases.
- Apply secure coding practices and follow OWASP guidelines to mitigate vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS).
- Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation.
- Collaborate with support teams to resolve production issues efficiently.
- Lead development efforts on large-scale projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Work with DevOps and Database teams for deployment, configuration, and performance optimization.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team capability building.
- Participate in architectural discussions and recommend improvements in tools, frameworks, and processes.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and third-party vendors.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and assess their relevance to ongoing and future projects.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in full stack development working with Microsoft technologies (.NET, C#, .NET Core / ASP.NET, etc.), front-end technologies (JavaScript, React/Angular) including design, coding, and testing.
- In lieu of degree, may consider a combination of education and related work experience.
Other Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in OOPs, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Strong understanding of SQL Server and relational database design.
- Solid ORM knowledge (e.g., Entity Framework, Dapper, etc.)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies (trunk-based development) and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
- Systems analysis and design skills.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical and non-technical issues with customers, vendors and product stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. This remote role requires a distraction-free workspace and reliable internet connection.
