Job Description
Schedule: B Shift (8 PM - 8 AM, rotating)
How will you make an impact?
As a Production Group Leader, you will oversee the operations of the back end of the manufacturing line. Your leadership and coordination will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards. By optimizing workflow, minimizing downtime, and ensuring proper training and motivation of line personnel, you will contribute to the overall success of the manufacturing process.

What will you do?
- Line Coordination: Work closely with the Manufacturing Supervisor to organize line workload and staffing based on product priorities.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work meets or exceeds Jabil workmanship standards. Monitor the CIQ (Continuous Improvement Quality) system to identify and address repetitive issues immediately.
- Changeover Efficiency: Minimize changeover times through organized and well-planned processes, ensuring a smooth transition between production runs.
- Material Management: Minimize excess material on the production floor and ensure the proper stock and availability of operational supplies and equipment.
- Documentation Management: Verify that only accurate, current, and authorized documentation is available on the line. Communicate any deviations or changes to the team.
- Employee Communication: Inform and instruct employees on changes or deviations in the process. Notify the Manufacturing Supervisor immediately about any employee concerns, problems, or recommendations.
- Continuous Improvement: Strive for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility, encouraging innovation and efficiency.
- Training and Certification: Ensure that all line personnel are thoroughly trained, certified, and performing their assigned functions effectively.
- Motivation and Leadership: Motivate and challenge all line members to perform to their full potential through direct and timely formal and informal feedback.
- Production Tracking: Monitor production to ensure that all deadlines and schedules are met.
- Policy Adherence: Review all relevant policies and procedures with the team, ensuring that employees understand and adhere to them.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety rules, ensure that workers use required protective equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
How will you get here?
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Two to six years of experience in a relevant production position, preferably within Jabil.
- Experience in printed circuit board manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, or experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively coordinate with supervisors and manage line personnel.
- Proficiency in identifying and addressing quality issues using CIQ systems.
- Knowledge of efficient material management and changeover processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly and instruct employees on process changes.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing processes.
- Experience in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Jabil workmanship standards and CIQ systems.
- Certification or training in relevant manufacturing processes and safety protocols.
