Senior Industry Principal

Today Mississauga, Canada

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Senior Industry Principal to drive strategic engagements and growth in the Telecommunications sector. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise, industry foresight, and business acumen to consult with C-level executives, shape digital transformation strategies, and support solution development. You will be instrumental in leading go-to-market initiatives, advising on emerging technologies, and shaping offerings that address the evolving needs of telecom operators, ISPs, and network providers.

Skills required:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Ontario or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Industry Thought Leadership:
o Act as a trusted advisor to clients by providing insights into industry trends such as 5G, Open RAN, network automation, edge computing, and telecom monetization.
o Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and webinars.
• Client Engagement & Advisory:
o Collaborate with senior client stakeholders to define and deliver strategic roadmaps and transformation programs.
o Lead client workshops, executive briefings, and innovation sessions.
• Solution Development:
o Work with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Sales) to co-develop telecom-specific offerings and solutions.
o Define industry use cases leveraging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, OSS/BSS, and cloud-native platforms.
• Business Development Support:
o Assist sales teams in winning strategic deals by providing domain expertise and value proposition development.

o Build and nurture relationships with telecom executives and decision-makers.
• Practice Development:
o Mentor and develop junior consultants and domain experts.
o Contribute to the creation of reusable assets, whitepapers, and domain frameworks.

Required Skills-

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field. Master's degree (MBA, MS) is preferred.
  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in the telecom industry, with at least 5 years in a strategic or consultative role.
  • Proven expertise in mobile and fixed-line technologies, network evolution, and OSS/BSS transformation.
  • Deep understanding of telecom business models, regulatory trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to conceptualize, articulate, and implement digital and business transformation strategies.
  • Experience working with global clients and multicultural teams.
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks like TM Forum, eTOM, and ITIL is a plus.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
Estimated annual compensation range for the candidate based in the below location will be:
Ontario: $ 110,348 to $ 200,000
