Infrastructure Automation Lead

Infosys is seeking an Infrastructure Automation Lead responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced automation solutions for private cloud and virtualization Infrastructure. This role drives significant improvements in operational efficiency, standardization, and resilience through comprehensive automation strategies and execution.
Required Qualifications :
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Dallas, TX or be willing to relocate to these areas. This position may require travel in the US.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
- At least 3 years of extensive experience in Infrastructure automation or DevOps, with a proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale automation solutions.
- Deep expertise in at least one major programming language (Python or PowerShell preferred) and strong scripting skills. Mastery of configuration management (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet) and IaC tools. Expertise in private cloud (VMware VCF/NSX-T, Nutanix) and virtualization platforms. Strong knowledge of Linux/Windows OS, networking, and storage. Experience with CI/CD tools.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong architectural vision and ability to design resilient systems. Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities.

- Lead the design and implementation of complex, enterprise-grade automation solutions for Infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.
- Develop and maintain highly robust and scalable automation scripts and frameworks using various programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Extensively utilize configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and Infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Integrate automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, ITSM, and other critical IT systems.
- Establish and enforce automation best practices, coding standards, and security policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve the most challenging automation-related issues and system failures.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to junior automation engineers.
