Data Insights Lead Analyst

Infosys is hiring a Data Insights Lead, experienced in working Retail CPG client's data and ability to understand business requirements, do gap analysis, in-depth data analysis, understand retail master data at SKU and store level, manage master data and share findings with business in Power BI reports. As a techno-functional consultant candidate should have ability to consult business on requirements, provide guidance for data and data model, understand data flow, points of failures, data quality issues and observability for operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
    • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform businesses of data quality issues like consistency, inaccuracy etc.
    • Interpret data to provide actionable recommendations for meeting dataset preparation for data products related to Sellout and Inventory
  • Master Data Management:
    • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across various data sources
    • Investigate and figure out data gaps due to master data issues like Product, Store, Promotions, etc.

    • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions
    • Collaborate with IT teams to implement data solutions that align with business objectives
  • Reporting and Visualization:
    • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics
    • Present data findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Utilize data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, Big Query) to manipulate and analyze data
    • Stay updated with the latest data technologies and methodologies to continuously improve data processes such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, GCP, Data Ingestion Tools etc.
    • Setup observability for monitoring and tracking data quality
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide training and support to business users on data tools and best practices.
    • Act as a resource for data-related queries and troubleshooting

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Raleigh, NC or Phoenix, AZ or Indianapolis, IN, or Hartford, CT or be willing to relocate to the area
    • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education

    • At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology
    • Experience in Nielsen, CPG data expertise (Point of Sale, Inventory etc), Power BI
    • Experience in Python for advanced data analysis and statistical modeling
    • Experience in SQL/Big Query for querying and managing databases
    • Strong experience in Excel for data manipulation and visualization
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • At least 3 years' experience in Nielsen, CPG data expertise (Point of Sale, Inventory etc), Power BI
    • Experience in MS Fabric, Google Big query
    • Experience in Collibra for data governance and cataloging
    • Experience in Data Modeling and Data Storytelling, Coordinate with various sources
    • Strong communication and Analytical skills
    The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
