Shift Lead - Bushings
The opportunity
Manufacturing Production manages or assists with managing various production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.) including: Planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards. Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources. Planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiency: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
How you'll make an impact
- Ensure the shift operation is run in compliance with health & safety policies and guidelines of Hitachi energy.
- Shift Monitoring - Assisting management and shift team in allocating, coordinating, and overseeing shift orders and work plan execution within production lines during the shift.
- Review material availability on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
- Providing regular feedback and makes recommendations to management regarding issues within the production line, including production line organization, shifting priorities and possible critical situations.
- Coordinating with different functions (i.e. Planning, Purchase, Quality and Project management) for smooth operation.
- Serving as leader during shifts to oversee cooperation and the resolution of technical/quality problems and logistic issues.
- Metrics Reinforces focus on volume, efficiency and on time delivery based on weekly and monthly planning.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

- Degree in engineering / Diploma / B.E / B.tech in Electrical / Mechanical engineering
- Relevant experience of 6-8 years in casting process OR equivalent process with overall experience not exceeding 10 years.
- Experience in Epoxy casting Industry will be added an advantage.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
