The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning.
Mission Statement :
The Senior UI/UX Developer is responsible for designing and implementing intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that enhance the overall digital experience. This role involves creating and maintaining design systems, component libraries, and reusable UI elements to ensure consistency across applications. The developer will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate user needs into functional and visually appealing solutions, adhering to best practices in usability and accessibility.
The Senior UI/UX Developer will report to the Team Manager within INOPC PGGA
Your Responsibilities
Develop and implement user interfaces based on user requirements, ensuring intuitive navigation and a seamless user experience.
Design and maintain UI component libraries and reusable design systems for consistency and scalability across applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, designers, developers) to translate business needs into functional, user-friendly designs.
Analyze and optimize existing UI patterns, migrating legacy components into modern frameworks while ensuring accessibility compliance.
Provide ongoing support for design implementation, resolving UI-related issues and ensuring accurate application of design principles.
Define and enforce UI/UX standards, including interaction patterns, responsive design structures, and best practices for usability and performance.
Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team.

Your Background:
Bachelors degree, with 8+ years of experience.
- Strong expertise in UI/UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Hands-on experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, and front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular.
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries, ensuring consistency across platforms.
- Solid understanding of user research, usability testing, and data-driven design improvements.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with product owners, developers, and stakeholders across diverse domains and cultures.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills to translate user needs into functional designs.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
