Project Procurement Specialist
The opportunity
As a Project Procurement Specialist at Hitachi Energy, you will play a key role in supporting project success from tendering through to final delivery.
Working closely with our Sales and Project teams, you will execute Supply Chain Management activities and contribute to strengthening our competitiveness by identifying optimal suppliers, supporting negotiations, and ensuring cost-effective procurement.
You will be involved in projects of varying size and scope across different industries, requiring close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
How you will make an impact
- Drive procurement activities across the project lifecycle, supporting the transition from tender phase to execution.
- Support sourcing performance through structured planning, execution, and basic KPI follow-up.
- Apply procurement strategies and Project Procurement Rules in line with project needs and risks.
- Establish and maintain the Project Procurement Plan together with the project team.
- Perform RFQs, supplier evaluations, and negotiations to contribute to good commercial terms and delivery performance.
- Assist with cost control and supplier performance by helping manage risks, follow up quality issues, and contribute to forecasting and spend analysis.
Your background
- Some experience in project procurement or supply chain within an industrial or technical environment.
- Understanding of sourcing, contracts, and commercial terms.
- Technical or commercial degree.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
- Fluent in English. Norwegian is considered an advantage.
