The Opportunity

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Partnership Manager - Battery/Integrator Segment to lead national sales engagement with battery manufacturers and system integrators across North America. In this role, you will own revenue growth through battery manufacturers and integrators and serve as the primary commercial and technical sales interface for Power Conversion Solutions. You will develop account plans, commercial frameworks, and contractual arrangements that support the sale of PCS solutions into utility-scale energy storage projects. The position involves identifying, qualifying, developing, and closing opportunities; coordinating cross-functional activities; leading technical sales engagement; and supporting solution development with battery manufacturers and integrators. You will work across regional and global teams to translate existing commercial relationships, technical qualifications, and framework agreements into North American opportunities while developing new relationships within the market. Through account development, commercial alignment, technical qualification activities, and collaboration with engineering, product, procurement, legal, and sales teams, you will help advance utility-scale battery energy storage deployments and support reliable, scalable power system applications.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Own the North American sales strategy and account plans for priority battery manufacturers and system integrators.
  • Build relationships across executive, commercial, technical, procurement, project-development, and operational functions.
  • Identify, qualify, develop, and close PCS opportunities through battery manufacturers and integrators.
  • Develop framework agreements, supply arrangements, preferred-supplier designations, and other scalable commercial structures.
  • Lead technical sales engagement to position PCS solutions within utility-scale BESS applications.
  • Coordinate compatibility assessments, integration activities, controls and communications alignment, and solution-development efforts.
  • Create repeatable PCS opportunities and standardized battery-plus-PCS offerings across customers and projects.
  • Serve as the North American sales interface with global business development, engineering, sales enablement, and product teams.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Renewable Energy, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of sales, account management, or business development experience in energy storage, utility-scale solar, power conversion systems, power electronics, renewable energy, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience selling to or through battery manufacturers, system integrators, EPCs, developers, utilities, asset owners, or energy storage customers.
  • Understanding of utility-scale BESS, including battery technologies, PCS/inverter technologies, AC- and DC-coupled architectures, controls and interfaces, grid interconnection requirements, and the project lifecycle.
  • Experience developing commercial agreements, contractual frameworks, account plans, opportunity strategies, and sales forecasts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineering, procurement, commercial, executive, and customer stakeholders and work across regional and global teams.
  • Preferred
  • • Experience with supplier qualification programs and approved vendor list processes.
  • • Familiarity with PCS-to-battery integration, controls, communications, and interface requirements.
  • • Experience managing complex national or strategic accounts in renewable energy markets.
  • • Knowledge of utility, IPP, developer, EPC, asset-owner, and hyperscale data center customer segments.
  • • MBA, advanced technical degree, or equivalent commercial and technical experience.
