Enterprise Architect

The opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Enterprise Architect to drive the end-to-end architectural strategy for the HVDC business within Hitachi Energy. This role requires a rare combination of deep PLM expertise, holistic systems thinking, and in-depth HVDC domain understanding to align business capabilities, information models, processes, and technology platforms across Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Management, Project Delivery, and Digital ecosystems.

The Enterprise Architect will operate at the intersection of business strategy, data governance, and system design, ensuring that HVDC's transformation-from an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) delivery model toward a scalable Configured Engineer-to-Order (CETO) and modular product paradigm-is fully supported by coherent enterprise architecture principles, cross-functional alignment, and a unified product information model.

This role is central to eliminating silos, resolving foundational data and process pain points, and enabling harmonized, future-ready digital capabilities across HVDC.

How you'll make an impact

• Define and maintain the HVDC enterprise architecture blueprint, ensuring alignment of business objectives, modularization strategies, and governance across processes, data, applications, and integrations to provide a single source of truth and actionable architecture roadmaps.
• Lead creation and governance of the HVDC Product Information Model, ensuring consistent product structure flow across PLM, ERP, PIM, and BIM, while eliminating redundancies and misaligned data sources.
• Architect end-to-end capabilities and enterprise processes for modular product development, reuse, and configuration, enabling HVDC's "Scale" initiative and greenfield project delivery with reduced cycle time and increased standardization.
• Drive enterprise-wide collaboration and decision governance across engineering, product management, IT, and operations, ensuring alignment of digital initiatives with HVDC principles and leading cross-functional product information governance bodies.
• Define cohesive integration of PLM, ERP (SAP), PIM, BIM, EA, and requirements tools, ensuring architectural consistency across large-scale programs while identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.Translate HVDC organizational pain points into actionable architecture roadmaps and initiatives.
• Communicate architecture decisions with clear business impact, guide adoption of future-ready digital capabilities, support change management for cross-functional transformations, and contribute to enterprise-wide data governance and master data principles.

• 15+ years of experience in PLM, Enterprise Architecture, digital transformation, and complex system implementations.
• Deep expertise in multiple PLM platforms (Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia, Agile) and end-to-end product lifecycle processes.
• Proven track record leading enterprise transformation programs across automotive, industrial, and energy sectors.
• Proven knowledge of HVDC domain, modular product architectures, configuration management, and reuse methodologies.
• Experienced in bridging business, engineering, IT, and data needs into coherent enterprise solutions.
• Skilled in systems engineering, requirements management (Polarion), SAP, and digital thread concepts.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and ability to drive consensus in complex organizations.
