RESPONSIBILITIES

About the Role:

The AVP IT Services-Project Administration is responsible for providing leadership and direction for a team managing the project management lifecycle, creating safeguards against risk through proactive guidance, comprehensive documentation and continual assessment of GM Financial's business processes and internal controls. The AVP will promote team member integrity, ethical compliance and build upon our established culture. The AVP will have contact and interaction with all levels of management and departments across the organization and on-going collaboration with the ITS leadership team.

In this role, you will:

  • Understand, communicate and commit to the Organization's vision, goals and strategies.
  • Analyze complex issues, apply financial analysis and use sound judgment to make strategic decisions that balance long and short business goals and objectives.
  • Translate broad strategies into specific actions plans, utilizing existing resources and information to achieve strategic objectives and improve business results.
  • Manage department performance using key information, processes and systems to ensure accountability for achieving business results.
  • Foster and champion an environment that promotes trust, continuous improvement, innovation, quality outcomes and self-development.
  • Align department priorities to that of the organization and realign strategic direction when appropriate.
  • Foster open communication, that welcomes information sharing, seeks input from others and values diverse viewpoints
  • Coach, mentor and train team members to establish a consistent level of quality, accuracy, accountability and compliance of department standards.
  • Build relationships across the organization, while leveraging individual and cultural diversity to assist in achieving business goals and objectives.
  • Assist VP in determining the department's annual business plan and setting budgetary requirements.


QUALIFICATIONS

What makes you a dream candidate?

  • Demonstrated success in project management and Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance of applicable State and Federal lending laws.
  • Ability to analyze and see the big picture of workflow business processes and how they interface within the company infrastructure.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office including the strong ability to produce executive-level reports using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to listen actively.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to work well with others in teams and collaborative work situations.
  • Organization and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to provide leadership through influence, inspiration, collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ability to apply knowledge and critical thinking skills in day-to-day problems and solutions.
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity while successfully managing work demands and pressure.
  • Continually pursues personal development.

Experience

  • 8-10 years experience in related field required
  • 3-5 years leadership experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience Required
