Required Qualifications:

  • Technical Degree/Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with a 3.0 or higher GPA; or a High School Diploma / GED with 10+ years of experience in Field Services or power generation equipment maintenance.
  • Experience using electrical test equipment including Megohmmeters, Hipot test sets, Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeters, and Multimeters.
  • Extensive Experience with GE and Alstom OEM technology
  • Required to gain unescorted access to nuclear facilities

Desired Qualifications:

  • Capability to Work in Physically Intensive Environments:
    • Ability to work in various physically demanding conditions, including hot or cold environments, confined spaces, and situations requiring climbing stairs or working at heights.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of running complex projects with diverse work groups.
  • Determination and perseverance through difficult and challenging situations.
  • English proficiency required.
  • Ability to travel to and from projects and various field assignments and willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
  • Experience with oOEM generator equipment

Technical Expertise and Knowledge:

  • Project Management:
    • Execute repair work on generators, including winding repairs and stator/rotor repairs.
    • Lead and motivate project teams to foster a collaborative work environment.
    • Develop detailed project plans and schedules.
    • Create and manage project budgets.
    • Ensure clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle by liaising with clients, engineers and suppliers.
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Generator Design and Construction:
    • Have an in-depth understanding of generator design principles and construction techniques especially when it comes to GE and Alstom Design OEM generators.
    • Stay updated with the latest advancements and technologies in generator systems.
  • Inspection Procedures:
    • Master various generator inspection procedures, including visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and performance testing.
    • Utilize specialized tools and equipment to conduct thorough inspections.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Safety Protocols:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures when working on generators.
    • Ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others by following best practices and guidelines.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure that all work performed complies with industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
    • Stay informed about changes in regulations and standards that may impact generator operations.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,200.00 and $173,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
