Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and delivering world-class, cost-effective, and reliable electrical designs for power transformers.
This role involves providing optimized designs for contracts and tenders based on customer specifications, international standards, and PTR technology.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the electrical design team's efforts, including design development, engineering documentation, estimation, and continuous process improvement
• Thoroughly understand and apply national and international design standards, ensuring the use of the correct design tools and methodologies
• Ensure that components and assemblies meet relevant industry and business standards
• Utilize specialized software to analyze magnetic circuits, electro-magnetic fields, insulation strength, and verify the electrical adequacy of products
• Develop conceptual electrical designs from the tender stage through to detailed contract design
• Address non-conformance reports and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions as necessary
• Actively participate in engineering and production reviews, ensuring the development of error-free designs and reliable products, minimizing non-quality costs, and ensuring optimal unit performance
• Analyze and respond to customer complaints in coordination with lead engineers and relevant leaders
• Prepare tender and contract designs, ensuring compliance with international regulations and national standards, and utilizing relevant GE standards and tools while considering material specifications, costs, procurement processes, and manufacturing capabilities
• Participate in technical meetings with customers as required, collaborating with the engineering team to offer effective solutions in coordination with PTR experts
• Adhere to and promote company and local EHS policies, rules, and standards, demonstrating exemplary behavior in safety and environmental responsibility, collaborate with the EHS team to implement preventive and corrective actions to avoid accidents, incidents, and environmental damage

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or electrical & electronic engineering from an accredited university
• Strong oral and written English language skills
• Comfortable in hybrid working conditions
• Ability to live in Istanbul or Kocaeli

• Preferably 1 year of experience in electrical design, with specific experience in transformer design being a strong advantage
• Familiarity with the transformer design process is highly desirable
• To need to be strong analytical thinkers who are capable of solving problems brought to them by customers (internal & external)
• Comfortable writing technical reports
• Work effectively under time pressure in complex organizational structure
