- Own and drive the performance of wireless networks supporting OnStar across Europe.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve real-world connectivity issues alongside global carriers.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize backend interactions between telecom networks and GM systems.
- Create and refine network metrics, operational processes, and test plans for new launches.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, development, and external partners to deliver seamless connected services.
- Support new feature rollouts, network enhancements, and live network testing.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and help shape the future of GM's connected ecosystem in Europe.
Requirements
- 5+ years in the mobile/cellular industry with a strong background in GSM, UMTS, and LTE .
- Deep knowledge of telecom protocols (SS7, SIP, VoIP, IP, TCP/UDP, Ethernet, etc.).
- Understanding of Core Network architecture (HLR, MME, GGSN, P-GW, S-GW, etc.).
- Familiarity with voice, SMS, and data call flows.
- Experience supporting and testing live wireless networks.
- SQL skills for metrics and monitoring.
- Operational excellence and experience creating or executing playbooks with vendors.
- Exceptional communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
Bonus Points:
- Experience managing service-level performance with carriers.
- Exposure to backend provisioning systems and carrier integrations.
- Comfort working in an agile, fast-paced, global environment.
Location & Flexibility:
This is a hybrid position based in Zurich , with three days onsite at our brand-new European headquarters and two days remote . We're open to relocating candidates from across Europe who are excited to be part of something transformative.
