Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Technical Center in Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) Sensors and Sensing Systems to lead our cutting-edge automotive technology teams. As an ADAS Senior Manager on Sensors and Sensing Systems , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of autonomous and connected vehicles. Your expertise will drive the development of innovative ADAS sensors, sensing systems, features, ensuring safety, performance, and user experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Team Leadership : Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers focused on ADAS Sensors and Sensing Systems technologies.


  • Technical Vision : Define the technical roadmap for ADAS Sensors and Sensing Systems technologies.


  • Technology Development : Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of ADAS sensors and sensing systems and work with Tier 1/2/3 vendors.


  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, architecture, performance, and validation) to integrate ADAS Sensors and Sensing Systems into our vehicle platforms.


  • Innovation : Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and research advancements. Drive innovation by proposing novel solutions.


  • Quality Assurance : Ensure the robustness, reliability, and safety of ADAS sensors and sensing systems functions through rigorous testing and validation.


  • Project Management : Oversee ADAS sensors and sensing systems project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables. Collaborate with stakeholders to meet project milestones.

Additional Description

You Skills &Abilities:

  • Education : Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Robotics, or a related field.


  • Experience : Minimum 8 years of relevant ADAS Sensors and Sensing Systems development/production experience in ADAS, autonomous driving, or related fields.


  • Proficiency in Sensors and Sensing Systems related technologies development and release (e.g., camera, radar, LiDAR, IMU, etc.).


  • Strong understanding of C/C++, Python, or other relevant programming languages.


  • Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity.


  • Proven ability to lead and inspire technical teams.


  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge:

  • 5 years' experience in sensors and sensing systems production release/technology development


  • Automotive safety critical electronics experience is a plus


  • Fast Learner: ADAS sensors and sensing systems is constantly evolving area. Therefore, it is critical to be able to quickly learn and digest complex changes and disseminate this information.


  • Innovation: Able to generate potential solutions to sophisticated problems, screen out bad ideas, identify good ones, and brainstorm without ego or attachment.


  • Comfort with Ambiguity: Comfortable working in a space where problems and solutions are not always well defined. You can cope with change, shift gears easily, and can decide and act without having the total picture.


  • Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrate the ability communicate broad concepts as well as detailed technical information through written and verbal means.
