Material GA Launch Coordinator

Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Fort Wayne Assembly on a full-time basis.
The Role: The Material Launch Coordinator will be the point person for all material related launch activities. The individual selected for this position must be capable of working with little direction and will collaborate with all levels of a cross functional team to drive launch execution. This is an hourly people leader position, responsible for supervising core team members and will coordinate the activities of the material launch core team. Key deliverables will be to develop and execute all phases of Lean Material Systems to create the most efficient and lean material process, support steady state improvements, implement best practices and mange pilot build events. The selected candidate will need to be flexible and work overtime and off-shifts.
What You'll Do:
- Lead launch activities with support from the Material Launch Manager (MLM), Plant Launch Operations Manager (PLOM), Vehicle Systems Lead and other plant personnel.
- Participate in the training, developing, and evaluation of hourly team members.
- Responsible for lineside presentation and kitting of material for launch build events.
- Support development of the material plan for concurrent builds.
- Assist Industrial Engineering (IE) in setting up delivery routes, new dock layouts, Global Material Optimization System (GMOS) studies and new mobile equipment requirements.
- Ensure overall plant Lean Material Strategies including material flow, material routings, layout development, DLOC storage requirements, small lot strategy, sequence planning, and identify conveyance methods.
- Determine facility needs including hoists, presentation devices, tooling, printers, scanners, high bay rack requirements, sequence racks etc.
- Lead floor readiness for Start of Regular Production (SORP)
- Follow launch Masterdot to plan and execute various launch activities.
- Attend required meetings - Wall Review, Manufacturing Integration Team (MIT), Daily Wrap-Ups, MRD calls etc.
- Work with the Engineering Work Order (EWO) and Temporary Work Order (TWO) coordinators to develop plans for each build event and resolve routing, specification, and usage issues.
- Summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership.
- Coordinate rework or replacement of non-salable parts on saleable vehicles with support from other plant departments and product engineering.
- Develop staging plan for obsolete material
- Coordinate with 3rd Party Manager on Bulk Metering, Cross Dock and Value Added Assembler (VAA) material

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business management or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of equivalent experience in Manufacturing and Supply Chain
- Experience managing and leading teams.
- Experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Project management skills.
- Experience with the ability to coordinate resources, provide leadership updates, report status, and track timelines.
- Experience and knowledge of Material and Quality related processes (MGO, Pre Production Approval Process (PPAP), EWOs, TWOs)
- Requires flexible hours. Willingness to rotate to all 3 shifts during build event weeks, work weekend hours post Material Required Date (MRD) date and during pilot builds
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiar with Production Pull System (PPS) and Electronic Pull Systems (EPS).
- Familiar with Family Address, Broadcast Codes, and Part Routings
- Knowledgeable of Lean Manufacturing Systems (LMS) Methods.
- Knowledge of Plant Floor Change Management (PFCM) System.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement processes.
- Global Manufacturing System (GMS) experience.
- Experience using Materials Global Operations (MGO) application.
