Job Summary
 Job Description 
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Production Supervisor - Switchgear located in  Dallas, Texas. 
Reporting to the  Director of Fabrication,  the  Production Supervisor - Switchgear  role involves leading the manufacturing operations for our sheet metal fabrication department to ensure daily production output is met. This role will require a thorough understanding of fabrication processes and machinery including welding and CNC machines (press brakes, punch presses, lasers).
 What a typical day looks like: 
- Leads and trains employees on the assigned shift; Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of the production shift.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations, coaching, and mentoring.
- Coordinate resources as necessary to achieve safe and efficient results based on project workload.
- Review and verify the quality of work to ensure it meets the specifications of blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Partners with Production Manager and Planner Scheduler to track progress or changes to production schedules and communicates information to team members as appropriate.
- Provide recommendations to increase productivity and efficiency of the department.
- Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment used according to company policies and procedures.
- Notifies maintenance department of equipment problems.
- Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in power distribution required.
- At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity required
- Experience with low and medium voltage required
- Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams (including 3D models)
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines for production.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical assembly on power distribution equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with building switchgears, sheet metal assembly, and electrical assembly.
- Comfortable with strict deadlines for production
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Basic understanding of tools (ex. Tape measures, impact drill, etc.). and math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs.
