Job Description
This BU CFO will play a critical role in supporting the COO (focused on Technology and Operations) organization by providing strategic financial leadership and oversight. This position will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the division, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and driving financial strategy to support the division's goals. This VP will be managing a budget of $1B+ and work closely with senior leaders to optimize financial performance and support operational excellence of the COO organization, encompassing Technology, Operations, Workplace and HR. This leader will oversee a team of approximately 20 Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professionals.
Key responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the division's objectives and overall company goals. Provide insights and recommendations to the COO, the CIO and their respective leadership teams.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial projections. Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, and identify areas for improvement.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of approximately 20 finance professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, providing guidance and support for professional development.
- Operational Support: Collaborate with the COO and the CIO leadership teams to provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives. Analyze financial data to drive operational efficiencies and cost savings.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the division's financial stability and compliance with internal controls and policies.
- Capital Management: Oversee investment decisions, ensuring optimal use of resources to support growth and profitability.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial performance and strategy to internal stakeholders.
Candidate Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Corporate Finance leadership roles with at least 5 years dedicated to managing people.
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A or as a Business Unit CFO role supporting technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- A background working within a large, complex, and modern technology organization.
- A deep understanding of the various areas of technology including but not limited to the following: Public Cloud, Software Engineering Information Security, Infrastructure, Technology Architecture, and Product Management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders, including influencing of the C-suite.
- Proven strategic experience in managing, attracting, and developing talent.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and storytelling is a must have.
Target Pay Range: $252,000 - $341,000
