Switch Technician (B) - 1st Shift

Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Switch Technician (B) - 1st Shift to join our team in Bethel, CT!

The core hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm.

The hourly rate for this position is $22.50 per hour.

What you'll do:

The Electro-Mechanical Technician (Switch) is responsible for loading test stands and setting up testing for very small and intricate parts. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge in reading, interpreting, and following technical work instructions and blueprints. This first shift position is well suited for a patient individual who is a fast learner, is focused on quality output, and enjoys working in a demanding atmosphere.

In this function you will:
• Set up, start and then break down test ovens which contain small electro-mechanical parts
• Interpret customer and supplier requirements (via blueprints and work instructions)
• Recommend design and process improvements to enhance manufacturability
• Perform visual inspection of parts
• Maintain quality records

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent from an accredited institution or equivalent related experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Position Criteria:
• Ability to interpret/follow written work instructions, visual aids, sketches and blueprints.
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Mid-level assembly, calibration & ATP
