Every day, all around the world, people depend on technology, transportation, energy, and infrastructure to live and work. With rapid growth in electrification, an energy transition driven by climate change and explosive growth in connectivity, we're well positioned to solve the world's toughest electrical and mechanical power management challenges.

We're looking for a Project Engineer to support the delivery of complex electrical infrastructure projects that support Australia's growing demand for critical power, connectivity, and resilience.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle, work directly with customers and project teams, and build your technical and project delivery expertise.

Whether you're an Electrical or Electronic Engineering graduate interested in building your project engineering experience or an engineer looking to broaden your project delivery experience, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do:

As part of our PMO team, you'll play a critical role in delivering customer projects safely, on time, and within budget.

You will:

  • Support project engineering, planning, and delivery activities across the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and review electrical designs, technical documentation, and project deliverables.
  • Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
  • Help ensure compliance with safety, quality, technical, and project requirements.
  • Support technical problem-solving and customer engagement throughout project delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, customers, subcontractors, and field specialists to achieve project objectives.
  • Build practical knowledge of electrical systems and project delivery through hands-on project exposure.

What we're looking for

We're open to candidates at different stages of their engineering career, including graduates and engineers with relevant industry experience.

You may be:

  • An Electrical or Electronic Engineering graduate interested in building a career in project engineering.
  • A Graduate Engineer or Junior Engineer looking to build broader project delivery experience.
  • A Project Engineer or Site Engineer looking to broaden your project exposure and responsibilities.

You'll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • An interest in electrical systems, power infrastructure, and project delivery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good planning, organisation, and attention to detail.
  • A willingness to learn, solve problems, and work across technical and customer-facing activities.
  • Previous internship, engineering project, site, or relevant industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Why Eaton?

Join a global leader delivering the most critical infrastructure projects, where you'll gain end-to-end project exposure, build highly sought-after technical skills, and grow your career in a business shaping the future of electrification and connectivity.

  • Work on mission-critical infrastructure projects across data centres, utilities, and industrial environments.
  • Gain end-to-end exposure to project engineering and delivery.
  • Develop expertise across power systems, project delivery, and customer engagement.
  • Learn from experienced engineers and project professionals while progressively taking on greater responsibility.
  • Competitive salary package, car allowance, and bonus.
  • Global opportunities, local decision-making, and career progression pathways.
