Program Manager II, Direct Current Data Centers

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Program Manager II, Direct Current Data Centers. This role is remote, but needs to be located near one of our related facilities in Hodges, SC / Sumter, SC / Arden, NC / Charlotte, NC / Cleveland, TN. You will be expected to travel up to 25% annually to support these Eaton locations.

As the Program Manager, you will lead a dedicated team of subject matter experts across Electrical Sector Americas in the business and technical development of direct current data center power systems from Utility connections all the way to the server racks. The Program Manager will provide leadership and structure to coordinate efforts and liaise between a systems architecture team, product development teams from each Product Line, and innovation teams to develop fully integrated solutions for some of Eaton's largest customers.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $109000 - $159000 a year.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure effective program management tools and processes are utilized, including the use of Eaton's PROLaunch process and agile/scrum methodologies as applicable.
  • Lead the team through uncertainty by establishing program structure, operating cadence, objectives, and performance measurement.
  • Accountable for program scope and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
  • Create and maintain detailed schedules using Microsoft Project, highlighting interdependencies between teams and holding team members accountable.
  • Drive the team toward proactive decision making, considering difficult trade-offs between product lines and customer value propositions.
  • Employ effective requirements and change management techniques. Assess and promptly communicate potential impacts of any changes and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Maintain a robust Communications Plan, inclusive of regular presentations to senior leaders. Prepare and publish formal program metrics and reports on a (minimum) monthly basis.
  • Lead teams in program risk assessment and deployment of sound mitigation strategies. Monitor risk and take decisive and early action to resolve any issues.
  • Understand Eaton program management, financial, and productivity tracking systems and processes. Work with functional leaders to accurately forecast, monitor, and report on program financials.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in program and project management methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in power distribution equipment engineering, manufacturing, marketing, sales, installation, or maintenance.
  • Able to travel up to 25% annually.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Established network across Electrical Sector Americas Engineering and broad knowledge of Product Lines.
  • Understanding of data center customers and power solutions.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with new product development (NPD) programs and stage gate processes.
  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Agile or Scrum certification
