Mechanical Inspector

Eaton's IS AER FED is currently seeking a Mechanical Inspector. This position is based out of our Glenolden, PA facility.

Core hours for this position are 7am-3:30pm.

The starting hourly rate for this position is $24.00 per hour.

What you'll do:

Performs verification inspection of Eaton's suppliers detailed components and verification inspection of Eaton's product for compliance to customer's requirements while assistiing customer source inspectors as required.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measurement equipment
• Thorough knowledge of measurement systems, techniques including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Familiarity with the requirements of ISO9001 and AS9100
• Ability to interact with co-workers and customer representative
• Perform verification inspection of Eaton's supplier's detailed components
• Performs verification inspection of Eaton's product for compliance to customer's requirements
• Assist customer source inspectors as required
• Coordinate Measurement Machine use, programming ability is preferred, but not required
• Surface plate lay-out
• Basic computer skills

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma/GED from accredited institution
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in manufacturing and/or military environment
• Minimum of two (2) years experience reading and interpreting blueprints
• Ability to use precision measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparator, thread gauge, etc.
• Reside within 50 miles of location (no relocation)
• US person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee
• This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random testing under our Drug and Alcohol Abatement program

Skills:

• Needs to work well under pressure
• Flexibility to work overtime when required•
• Technical Degree
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Thorough knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Inspection equipment programming experience
• Ability to operate CMM
