Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd Shift
Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd Shift. The position will be based at our facility in Horseheads, NY. This role will be on 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm).
The expected annual salary range for this role is $68000 - $99000 a year.

What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
• Lead and develop hourly employees to facilitate the needs customers by meeting schedules that are assigned.
• Direct plant-wide maintenance activities including preventive and predictive maintenance in a productive and safe manner.
• Actively coaching hourly individuals to drive accountability.
• Support production by facilitating and leading production personnel as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
• Assure that safe work procedures are established and followed with maintenance and outside contractors
• Directs analytical problem solving, root cause analysis and creativity/innovation to improve key business drivers utilizing an ELSS manufacturing approach
• Lead, coach, and develop employees within the maintenance department including conducting performance reviews and certifications as appropriate. Motivate and recognize employees to help improve morale and exceed delivery targets.
• Assure effective maintenance practices and optimized uptime of all production and facility equipment while maintaining forecasted budget
• Oversee the maintenance work/equipment records with input from Manufacturing and Engineering
• Oversee and balance preventative maintenance schedules
• Ability to work in conjunction with manufacturing and engineers to provide project and daily support
• Effectively manage scheduled and unscheduled resource demands to maximize plant/equipment uptime
• Cross train to understand and analyze facility requirements for compressed air, in house electrical distribution, HVAC, re-circulating water, and building grounds maintenance
• Support the maintenance system to meet the MESH, VPP, TS16949, EBE and other customer and Eaton requirements
• Sets minimum work practices and training required by specialty area
• Maintains good employee relations and adherence to the Union-Management Labor Contract, and takes proper and judicious disciplinary measures when required
• Fully engage workforce and drive change by empowering business partners with decision making and involvement.
• Strong electrical experience required.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, manufacturing or oil/gas industry

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience implementing Lean/ Six Sigma concepts in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing or supervising teams

• Understand schedule development and attainment
• Time management and priority planning
• Interpret blueprints and comprehend use of measuring tools
• Knowledge of precision machining and/or assembly
• Knowledge of methods and work standards in maintaining efficiency, flexibility and safety of workforce
• Verifiable competency in both oral and written communication of the English language
