Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Ingeniero de Industrialización.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Industrialization Electrical Engineer role will lead manufacturing and industrialization activities for new product introduction (NPI) projects through all stages of development into release for production. This position will lead the development and implementation of robust manufacturing processes, as well as the associated documentation, to ensure the successful launch of new and/or improved products and processes. The Lead Industrialization Engineer will collaborate with other functions and suppliers to facilitate efficient industrialization and to drive schedule performance while meeting safety, quality, and cost expectations. In addition to these functions, the Industrialization Electrical Engineer will provide support to the Industrialization team in the form of electrical engineering and program expertise. This shall include but is not limited to machine electrical design, design for safety, PLC programming and interfacing with devices during the manufacturing process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Lead process design, development, validation, and documentation for new product introduction (NPI) and product line support (PLS) projects.
• Support all industrialization projects from the standpoint of electrical design, machine programming and interfacing with plant servers. This shall include input to machine design, machine run-offs and process readiness.

• Serve as subject matter expert for machine-to-server connectivity in support of I4.0 activities.
• Lead the development and procurement of prototype and production tooling, fixtures, & equipment.
• Ensure Design for Manufacturability through collaboration with the cross-functional product line team.
• Lead prototype builds through developing pilot production lines and associated processes.
• Validate product and process design meets requirements and expected performance; support troubleshooting and yield issues.
• Develop and implement process controls, work instructions, standard work, and provide relevant training to plant personnel.
• Drive production readiness at the plant across all functions, including production validation and issue resolution.
• Collect and analyze early product and process performance data, using applicable Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing approaches.
• Develop and mentor team members and peers.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, electro mechanical, computer engineering or computer science from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated ability to program PLC's and PC's for use in a production environment.
• Minimum of five years of engineering experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or plant operations.
• Technical knowledge of electro-mechanical components and assemblies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in new product development and industrialization.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley programming, LabView, Test Stand, PCAT, Ingnition, Kepware.
• Experience with production tooling and assembly/test fixture development.
• Working knowledge of basic quality tools, such as, capability studies and gage R&Rs.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, VA/VE, and LEAN manufacturing tools.
• Experience with shop floor control processes and technology (barcoding, product/process traceability).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
