Electrical Engineer for Residential Breakers

What you'll do:

You will act as Electrical Engineer for residential breakers (Miniature Circuit Breakers, DIN-rail components) with focus on electro-thermal, electro-magnetic design and material selection topics as well as documentation and product validation for Product Line Support, Market adaptations, design to cost activities and new developments. You will be responsible for the maintenance of line, product enhancements and new developments on residual breaker portfolio as part of the EMEA Product Line Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB). You will be situated in the R&D group for electromechanical product (MCBs and related accessories).

- develop robust concepts and specifications for the electrical and electromechanical functions (such as contact systems, magnetic actuators, current paths)
- engineering on assembly/device level for residential breakers and DIN -rail components
- validation/ messurements on electrotechnical breakers and sub-assemblies
- preparation of eBoms, checklists and technical documentation
- development, preparation, ordering and testing of samples and prototypes
- maintaining conformity to standards on dedicated products
- application of Design for Six Sigma activities
- support effort planning of electrical engineering tasks
- carrying out document release, change and deletion process and production releases

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or related engineering discipline

• Relevant practical experience in electrical design, product engineering or development of electromechanical products
• Electrical or related engineering discipline;
• Experience in circuit breakers and developments of similar products; knowledge about and type-testing, regulations and product compliance;
• Electrotechnical and Mechanical and engineering knowledge
• CAD knowledge (e.g. Creo Modeling or similar)
• Data management knowledge (Model Manager or similar PDM system, SAP or similar ERP system)
• Experience in product design process and related tools
• Basic understanding of mechanical and elektromechanical production processes (metal/ plastic part and assembly production of electromechanical components)"
• Good analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work within an international team and with international counterparts, Fluent English
