About this Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Weekend Shift Manager to join our Shieldhall site - Diageo's Scotch category's largest packaging site. We supply globally circa 30 million cases of our iconic brands from Shieldhall.

The Shieldhall Scotch site comprises 7 production lines, a spirit supply operation, multiple other dry and wet component areas and circa 380 people. This role is responsible for all teams working weekends and there is an opportunity to be flexible around working days/hours.

You'll lead a team of circa 40 people which is made up of Packaging Team Leaders, Equipment owners, Operators and Engineers. You will be a ground-breaking and inspirational leader who is passionate about driving dedication and a continuous improvement culture where people are highly engaged, and manufacturing excellence is at the forefront of how we do business. You'll be a self-motivated leader, create energy and motivation in your team and deliver stretching plans to service our customers.

With high levels of growth anticipated across Scotch, you'll be instrumental in implementing the strategic plan for liquid packaging, ensuring that a successful growth agenda is built on strong organisational change principals.

We'd love to hear from you if you:
  • Are an inclusive leader with strong operational leadership experience.
  • Have experience leading other leaders, or a consistent track record in a leadership or management position.
  • Are passionate about your own development - this role offers a great opportunity to grow as a leader and build strategic business knowledge while driving the site forward to achieve ambitious targets.
  • Are open to a predominantly weekend shift (Friday-Sunday), with flexibility to work weekdays as needed to build relationships with leaders and teams on other shifts.
  • Are passionate about developing people.
  • Have knowledge and experience in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Are a change agent who fosters connection and successfully implements plans.
  • Serve as a role model for safety leadership.
