Bilingual Individual Business Sales Representative

The Individual Business Sales Representative is responsible for handling inbound calls from prospective enrollees interested in individual dental insurance products. In this role, you will assess customer needs, recommend appropriate plan options, clearly explain costs and benefits, and guide customers through the enrollment and payment process. You will serve as a trusted subject matter expert, focusing on customer education, satisfaction, and retention, while ensuring a smooth and compliant sales experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and manage inbound calls from prospective customers seeking individual dental insurance coverage.
  • Ask targeted questions to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate product options.
  • Explain plan features, benefits, rates, and costs in a clear and accurate manner.
  • Overcome objections and guide customers through the sales process to successfully complete enrollments.
  • Collect and verify all required information to complete applications accurately.
  • Educate customers on available payment options and forward selections to the enrollment function.
  • Respond to electronic and written inquiries from prospective customers and sales leads.
  • Perform eligibility verifications for applicable programs.
  • Access reference materials efficiently to provide accurate responses and support sales and retention efforts.
  • Document all customer interactions and resolutions in the designated tracking systems.
  • Route complex enrollment or billing inquiries to the appropriate internal departments.
  • Meet or exceed established production goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of licensed health or dental insurance sales experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Active insurance sales license in accordance with state Department of Insurance (DOI) requirements (e.g., Health, Accident, and Sickness).
  • Ability to manage high call volumes while adhering to established workflows and procedures.
  • Proven initiative to close sales, follow up with prospects, and obtain referrals.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to absorb and retain complex information.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and creative in problem-solving.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.

Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 14. $36,900 - $74,600
