Our Executive Communications team provides strategic communications counsel and deliverables to CVS Health Executive Leadership Team members, including the CEO and leaders of the shared services functions (Chief Medical Officer, Chief Experience and Technology Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and Chief Policy Officer). This work includes developing communications strategies, briefing materials and talking points for both internal and external events, as well as crafting written communications to the enterprise and business functions. The team also partners with Communications colleagues across the organization, particularly External Affairs, for traditional and social media opportunities.Executive Communications interns can expect to gain foundational knowledge of executive communications - from strategic planning to material development - while working closely with experienced executive communicators.In addition, interns will collaborate with parallel pillars within the Executive and Colleagues group, including the Content Strategy team. This work will include:
- Completing at least one article during your time with the team
- Supporting video projects alongside other team members
- Assisting with the day-to-day production of a variety of content formats
- Provide first drafts of:
- Executive content (emails, memos, talking points, scripts, FAQs, editorial features) with a clear voice and strong narrative flow.
- Executive presentation materials (PowerPoint), speaker visuals, and simple infographics, applying brand guidelines and accessibility best practices.
- Remarks, run-of-show, Q&A, and moderator guides for leadership town halls and fireside chats; support event logistics as needed.
- Assist with publishing of content across intranet, email, and event channels; partner with channel owners to optimize reach and engagement.
- Scope assignments, build timelines, track approvals, and deliver on deadlines; manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
- Review and approve content for accuracy, clarity, and policy compliance; maintain templates and editorial standards.
- Assisting with logistics for short- and long-term projects

- Meet educational requirements (see education section)
- Have a willingness to commute or relocate to the Woonsocket, RI office
- A demonstrated interest in communications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively as needed
- Demonstrated leadership experience. Examples include active roles in student or social organization activities, sports, or school or work-related projects
- Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
- Prior internship/work experience in a related field such as communications or media
- Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree
- Have an anticipated graduation date between September 2026 and August 2027
- Have a major, minor or concentration relevant to the position such as Communications, Media, Marketing, Journalism or English
