Job Summary:

The Finance Analyst is responsible for preparing financial analyses and reports to support department managers and business leaders. This role plays a key part in monthly and annual financial closures, variance analysis, audit coordination, and compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. The analyst also supports process improvements and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare monthly closing reports including Chart of Accounts (COA) submissions and Profit & Loss statements.
  • Generate monthly MIS reports and conduct variance analysis.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Support quarterly board meeting submissions, schedules, and reporting packs.
  • Accounting & Compliance:
  • Oversee annual closure of books and coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits.
  • Monitor and review daily accounting transactions to ensure completeness and correctness.
  • Support indirect tax compliance, primarily GST-related activities.
  • Business Partnering & Support:
  • Collaborate with business units to understand new requirements and drive improvements.
  • Assist in development and implementation of process enhancements.
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Special Projects:
  • Execute ad hoc financial projects and analysis as assigned.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Licensing: May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant with 0-2 years of post-qualification experience.

Additional Requirement: Must be open to travel to plant locations (around 20% of the time).
