Coordinate Internships and Work-Based Learning
Facilitating internships, apprenticeships, and job shadowing experiences gives students real-world exposure and builds their confidence.
Support Talent Pipeline Development
You'll play a key role in identifying and nurturing future talent for local industries, helping address workforce shortages and skill gaps.
Enhance Equity and Access
By ensuring underserved students have access to career resources and opportunities, you'll promote inclusive workforce development.
Track and Measure Outcomes
Monitoring student progress and employment outcomes helps improve program effectiveness and demonstrates impact to stakeholders.
Foster Employer Partnerships
Building strong relationships with local businesses ensures students gain relevant skills and increases job placement success.
Promote Soft Skills and Professional Readiness
You'll help students develop communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills that are essential for workplace success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in the role, you will need the following
Understanding of Engineering Principles
A solid grasp of engineering fundamentals (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, etc.) helps you align student learning with real-world applications.
Project Management Skills
You'll often coordinate programs, timelines, and partnerships-so being organized and able to manage multiple moving parts is essential.
Strong Communication & Collaboration
You'll work with students, educators, and industry partners. Clear, empathetic communication and relationship-building are critical.
Workforce Development Knowledge
Familiarity with labor market trends, industry certifications, and career pathways helps you design programs that meet employer needs.
Mentorship & Coaching Abilities
Supporting students as they transition into the workforce means being a guide, motivator, and resource for their growth.
Data-Driven Decision Making
Using metrics to evaluate program success, student outcomes, and employer satisfaction helps you continuously improve operations.
