We are looking for a talented Electronic Technician IV - Maintenance to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Fletcher, NC .
Job Summary:
Applies comprehensive knowledge of troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, maintaining and making improvements to electrical systems. Works with relevant functions to select and utilize appropriate resources, tools, machinery and specialty equipment. Thoroughly understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. Acts as a formal resource coordinating others. Quickly and effectively adapts to change in the manufacturing environment.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
• Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.
Education: AAS Engineering Technology, Robotics, Automation, and Controls. A Bachelor of Science Degree will be a differential.
The Role: This role is suited to an experienced Electrical Technician who enjoys solving complex electrical and automation challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role focuses on keeping production equipment reliable through preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, system improvements and automation support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems across the plant
• Diagnose and repair PLC, SCADA, drive and control system faults
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment
• Update technical documentation, including P&IDs, instrumentation drawings and equipment manuals
• Support production by improving process reliability and assisting with operating procedures
• Identify potential safety risks and report them promptly
• Ensure compliance with OHSA requirements and maintain high housekeeping standards
• Participate in the overtime requirements and provide after-hours technical support
The successful candidate
• Trade Test as an Electrician or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Strong PLC and SCADA proficiency with Allen Bradley systems (Rockwell Automation Studio 5000, RSLogix, Powerflex, Control logix) and Siemens (TIA Portal, STEP 7, 840D, Sinumerik).Networking: Knowledge of industrial communication protocols like Ethernet/IP, ProfiNET, and Profibus.
• Solid knowledge of industrial instrumentation
• Experience with variable speed drives, including Allen Bradley.
• Computer literacy
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
Base Rate: $29.00 - $40.45/hr
Shift Premium: $1.00/hr
Variable Compensation Bonus: 5%
