Summary
Provides intake assessments in the Emergency Department and over the phone to determine appropriate level of care and treatment. Provides family assessments, family therapy, crisis intervention, and telephone triage for psychiatric inpatients, PHP, ER, and discharged patients. Participates in group therapy, multi-disciplinary treatment, diagnostic conferences, and diagnostic interviews. Provides case management services for all patients. Manages patients' mental health benefits, and keeps informed of all information regarding the patient's treat
Schedule: Varies (Nights/Weekends)
Education & Experience
- Master's level in Social Work or related field
- Experience in family therapy
- Hospital experience preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Child growth and development education

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
- Licensed by State of Texas: LMSW, LCSW or LPC
- CPR Heartsaver; CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
- Qualified as a QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) by the Texas Department of Health.
