Location: Bristol, or Edinburgh, Hybrid.

A role you will love
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Solution Architect to take a leading role in shaping the future of Issuer Services technology at Computershare.
You will have the opportunity to drive and shape solution architecture across our most complex and strategically important initiatives. As well as having the opportunity to collaborate with engineering teams, software suppliers, infrastructure providers, Enterprise Architects and subject matter experts.
Whether leading from the front on critical design decisions or empowering your team to deliver, you will ensure robust, well-governed solution architecture and design outcomes across the portfolio.
Other key responsibilities:
• Own end-to-end Solution Architectures & Designs that are fit for purpose, maintainable, and aligned to enterprise standards
• Capability to manage a team of Solution Architects
• Mentor and develop solution architects, technical architects, and engineering leads within the domain
• Provide solution architecture / design services in support of prioritised business demand
• Ensure solutions align to enterprise architecture roadmap, technology strategy, and business outcomes.
• Work with development functions, business lines, product teams and Technology function stakeholders to derive the technology future state and roadmaps
• Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies.
• Actively contribute to owning and designing governance, assurance, standards and policy that form part of the architectural governance process with a view to improving design quality.
• Lead and contribute to the Global Computershare Design Community, providing guidance, facilitating collaboration and clear communication across the organisation.

• Define high-level transition plans to address the gaps between current and future state in line with IT budgeting and planning processes.
• Lead on the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
• Understand the current state environment in terms of technology, risk, end of life and technical debt.
• Evaluate, recommend, and govern third-party products, platforms, and vendor relationships from a technical perspective
What will you bring to the role?
You will play an active role in developing and evolving the Architecture framework and processes, increasing the value delivered by the team through reducing cost and complexity, managing risk and enhancing change flexibility across the technology estate.
Some other key skills that you'll have:
• Significant experience within a complex enterprise context and with architectures spanning multiple technologies.
• Expert experience of design and implementation of a diverse range of business applications across multiple channels.
• Experience of design and implementation of public Cloud (e.g. Azure) applications and services.
• Experience of working with technology vendors.
• Experience of creating application migration strategies, enabling transition away from legacy technologies.
• Track record of architecting modern platforms using APIs, EAI, ETL and web services.
• Experience of leading the design and architecture of a large technology project
