A role you will love
As one of our FinOps Analysts, you will support the financial management and optimization of cloud resources, with an initial focus on Azure. This role is responsible for collecting, analysing and reporting on cloud cost data to ensure transparency, accountability, and cost efficiency across teams.
In this role, you will be working closely with finance, engineering, and operations, the analyst helps track usage patterns, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Track and report on cloud spend across platforms, providing usage summaries and variance analysis.
- Assist in identifying opportunities by analysing usage patterns and generating data to support optimisation activities.
- Contribute to the development and execution of FinOps processes, aligning with ITSM workflows and change management practices.
- Assist in cloud cost reporting, forecasting and budgeting by preparing historical spend reports and usage trend analysis.
- Monitor policy compliance related to cloud usage and cost control.
What will you bring to the role?
As you've probably gathered by now, we are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of FinOps practices and successful execution of them. The role also requires very strong data analysis and reporting skills and the ability to make recommendations based on the data.
With this role being global and a key part of our team, we are looking for someone with experience in a similar role in a complex organisation. As this role will be dealing with various different stakeholders and teams, you will need excellent communication skills to effectively provide clear verbal and written communications with internal stakeholders, their teams and the leadership team.
Other key skills required for the role include:
- Proven experience working within the FinOps space, ideally within a financial services environment.
- Excellent cloud experience, particularly in Azure and AWS.
- Reporting skills to effectively provide updates and analysis for stakeholders and teams.
- Experience of creating and maintaining PowerBI & Grafana dashboards.
- Excellent attention to detail and evaluative judgement based on best practice and previous experience.
- The ability to co-ordinate and direct efforts, ensuring that quality standards and time constraints are continuously delivered to a high standard.
