Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Ops Engineer to join the Oracle Cloud Technology Team, part of the shared services CIO function.

The Oracle Cloud Technology Team is responsible for delivering end-to-end technology services across solution architecture & analysis, change delivery & development, business intelligence & analytics, production support, and Cloud operations. These services underpin the operations of our global people and finance functions, supporting a diverse and distributed employee base worldwide.

Providing L2/L3 support for Oracle Cloud applications (such as Fusion, CRM on Demand, Eloqua), investigating and resolving incidents and service requests promptly to ensure system availability and performance. Whilst providing excellent customer service to stakeholders, ensuring responsiveness, reliability, and a positive experience in all operational support activities.

The Cloud Ops Engineer will work closely with the Cloud Ops Lead, vendor teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure high availability, security, and performance of cloud environments, leveraging automation tools and best practices to drive operational excellence.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Performing regular monitoring, health checks, and maintenance of cloud environments to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance.
  • Action and complete service requests, including user access provisioning, configuration changes, and routine operational tasks.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring or high-impact issues, document findings, and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, changes, and support procedures; contribute to knowledge bases and operational documentation to support efficient operations.
  • Follow internal controls, audit, and compliance requirements, ensuring all activities meet regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to support processes, deployment practices, and system reliability, including the use of automation tools.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving monitoring gaps, risks, and recurring incidents, strengthening business continuity and reducing the likelihood of major service disruptions.

What will you bring to the role?

The Cloud Ops Engineer will have strong experience of Oracle Fusion HCM, ERP, EPM, CRM on Demand, Eloqua, related Oracle cloud platforms and Cloud infrastructure concepts. Knowledge of release planning, deployment management, and change control for cloud applications.

Understanding of Cloud infrastructure concepts, integration environments, and vendor management. Alongside automation platforms (such as Rapid4Cloud) for functional deployments and operational tasks.

The position holder will have had exposure to coordinating and executing release and deployment activities for Cloud applications, with an understanding of change control and auditability.

Other key skills required for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in cloud operations, release/deployment management, and application support within an enterprise environment.
  • Experience managing or overseeing vendor teams and coordinating technical support activities.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Framework and best practices for service management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding service delivery targets and SLAs, actively reducing support queues, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Experienced in recognising when issues require escalation and efficiently directing them to the appropriate resolver group or vendor for rapid resolution.
