As a subject matter expert within our specialized team, you will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of share-based payment accounting and financial reporting. This is a high-impact, client-facing role where you act as a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between complex financial data and actionable corporate insights. You will work independently to manage your own portfolio of clients while collaborating with the wider team to drive innovation in our service delivery and software capabilities. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-End Client Management: Acting as the primary expert contact for client finance and accounting organizations, providing dedicated support, account management, and strategic consulting.
  • Technical Reporting: Preparing and validating IFRS and US GAAP compliant accounting and disclosure reports for share-based plans using our proprietary EquatePyramid software.
  • Complex Valuations: Performing sophisticated financial valuations using option pricing models and complex Monte Carlo simulation models.
  • Product Innovation: Contributing directly to the development of EquatePyramid by writing bug fix specifications, defining software enhancements, and performing quality assurance.
  • Relationship Excellence: Collaborating with the wider relationship management function and participating in client update meetings to ensure high levels of satisfaction (NPS).
  • Sales & Growth Support: Participating in prospect workshops and sales demonstrations to showcase our technical expertise and the capabilities of our software.
  • Internal Compliance: Ensuring all delivery meets rigorous internal control standards, including the preparation of technical memos and compliance checklists.

What will you bring to the role?

We are looking for an analytical, communicative, and detail-oriented professional who thrives on solving complex problems. While we provide comprehensive on-the-job training for the technical specifics of share plans, you should arrive with a solid foundation in accounting principles and a desire to act as a technical bridge between our software and our clients' C-suite executives. You are someone who values continuous improvement, whether that is refining your own performance through feedback or enhancing our software and internal processes. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Educational Foundation: A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Industrial Economics, or a related field (recent graduates with a strong interest in this domain are encouraged to apply).
  • Technical Proficiency: A solid understanding of basic accounting and financial reporting, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to handle complex data sets with precision.
  • Communication Excellence: The ability to use tact and diplomacy when communicating complex technical information to auditors, Heads of Group Accounting, and CFOs.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A proven ability to work independently while also coordinating effectively across diverse teams such as IT, Operations, and Relationship Management.
  • Analytical Problem Solving: A proactive approach to identifying issues and selecting solutions based on best practices, previous experience, and evaluative judgment.
  • Professional Drive: High motivation to manage your own client portfolio, meet strict service level agreements (SLAs), and contribute to software development projects.
  • Advantageous Expertise: Prior experience in audit or finance, or familiarity with financial instruments and standards such as IFRS 2, IAS 12, or US GAAP.
