Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Account Manager will focus on a few of the company's large or very complex customers within a designated geographic territory or market. In this role, you will handle critical or complex products that require excellent client relationship skills to maintain competitive positioning.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop a plan to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets.
- Build a business plan for each account.
- Coordinate use of resource to provide value added services to accounts.
- Develop strong client relationships, key account management that provide significant input to planning product, price and service strategies.
- Support supervisor and other sales professionals in developing new market opportunities in the designated territory or market.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (engineering preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in sales of raw materials or products into technically challenging applications
- Fluent in English.
- Travelling amount +/- 30%
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of related work experience in sales of raw materials/products into challenging applications
- Technical expertise in Bioindustrial industry is an advantage
- Experience working closely with large key customer accounts in EMEA
- Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams
- Experience in effectively building and managing customer relationships
- Passion for understanding, creating, and communicating value and solutions to team members and customers
- Ability to translate industry/market trends into new opportunities and solutions for existing and new customers/markets
- Effectively build formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization
