Senior Manager, Process Management

As a Senior Manager in Credit Solutions, you will deliver flawlessly executed processes that improve business efficiency and drive results directly or through others. You will create and modify processes while collaborating with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the company's bottom line. You will monitor data trends to measure effectiveness and install necessary benchmarks or thresholds to ensure data integrity. You will educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders concerning the utilization of process to ensure appropriate execution each and every time.

We are seeking dedicated, disciplined, process professionals who excel in a team environment and are experts in process improvement. This individual will have demonstrated that they can improve company processes in the past, resulting in saving time and resources for the company. This individual must be able to effectively communicate and influence partners across the company and across multiple levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic agile environment are essential to succeeding in this role. This individual must display strong leadership skills and be able to drive and motivate a team in delivering flawless execution of process improvement projects.

We are looking for someone with a proven background in solving complex problems and influencing across multiple job families and job levels to ensure buy in. This is an exciting role that requires strong attention to detail, and a desire to deeply understand the process, data, and product environment in order to solve problems at the root cause.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Leadership: May manage and develop a team. Coaching and mentoring associates throughout the organization with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital Ones strategies
- Credit Risk: Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis
- Execution: Coordinate across the line of business to manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
- Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
- Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous analytic marketing & credit risk management
- Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: He/she should be a tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business
- Solid people leadership experience: Ability to build and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the enterprise. He/she should foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and be able to consistently deliver results
- Strong executive communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Clear results orientation: display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals. He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment
- Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in Process management or at least 4 years of experience in Project management


Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 6 years of experience in Process management/Project Management
  • At least 5 years of experience in Relationship management
  • Experience with Commercial Lending
  • Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt or Black Belt
