We are hiring a VP, Software Engineering - Asset Servicing Technology.

In this role, you will report directly to Chief Technology Officer of Wealth. The candidate will have a deep understanding of Tax Technology and Corporate Actions Platforms with a proven track record of leading technology-driven projects and teams. The successful candidate will display strong attributes as a technology strategist, execution driver and business operation leader. Have a keen commercial understanding of the tax industry, product and technology and will be adept at assimilating quickly into new environments, absorbing information, and gaining a deep understanding of business processes, strategic goals and objectives. This role will lead a team of ~165 technology employees located between New York, United Kingdom, Singapore and India.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of tax and corporate actions reporting systems
  • Have outstanding relationship management skills, enabling her/him to collaborate and partner with senior decision makers across the company. She/he will have consistently led, mentored, developed, and motivated multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and reporting standards to ensure compliance
  • IT experience with ETL tools like Informatica PowerCenter 10.2 or higher
  • Experience with SQL/Postgres; SQL experience in Greenplum, Oracle, SQL Server, Gemfire, and Java Server Page
  • Oversee the maintenance and enhancements of existing tax and corporate actions systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop appropriate reporting solutions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree, 15+ years within a software engineering environment
  • Strong knowledge of Tax and Corporate Actions
  • 10+ years of proven leadership and team management experience within a fast-paced financial services environment
  • Detailed knowledge of the brokerage industry; Strong tax industry knowledge a plus
  • Outstanding dynamic leadership ability including influencing the business direction of the organization while maintaining a culture where associates are recognized as meaningful assets to the organization
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management skills
  • Experience setting technology direction with consistent track record delivering large scale IT solutions within a matrixed environment
  • Proficient MS Word, MS-Excel and Power Point
  • Solid track record for delivering results
  • Capacity to maintain a big picture, strategic outlook with the capability to iterate from company strategy to product development and planning
  • A validated progression of successful delivery of software applications as an individual, team leader and development manager
  • Deep SDLC and process knowledge (Agile, Iterative, Waterfall)
  • Self-motivated and action-and-results oriented. Outstanding communication and presentation skills (constructive communicator with the ability to articulate to groups of all sizes and levels of management)
Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $265,000 - $285,000 Annual
